The Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance held a meeting in solidarity with the Yemeni people under the title:
“Stop the aggression and Lift the Siege”
The “Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance” held a meeting in solidarity with the steadfast Yemeni people on the eighth anniversary of the start of the aggression on Yemen, in the presence of Arab, Islamic and international political and cultural figures and actors, at the headquarters of the gathering in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in addition to international participations via Zoom.
The Gathering’s Secretary General, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, opened with a brief speech to a room for speakers and participants from several Arab and Western countries, with more than fifty statements.
The Secretary-General of the gathering affirmed absolute support for the Yemeni people, “the steadfast nation in the face of the unjust war, which constituted the most serious catastrophe inflicted by the arrogant forces on a soverign people, after seven years of aggression and injustice supported by Arab and international complicity and Islamic silence, the unprecedented destruction of Yemen and the annihilation of the Yemeni people.
Dr. Ghaddar continued, “We stand with this oppressed people, who will inevitably win, because they are defending themselves, but where are the Arabs who should embrace their humanity in order to break the siege and end this catastrophe. We, as a group, have moved in solidarity with the fighters and the mujahideen who confront this war with their bare chests this brutality against Yemen.
Ghaddar added that what is happening in terms of destruction and massacres is unprecedented for the people of Yemen, but this approach is a reproduction of what has been happening on the Palestinian land from Zionist massacres. This is not surprising because those who are doing the killing in Yemen are the ugly face of the global arrogance that established the Zionist entity which committed crimes and act of killings against the Palestinian people.
Ghaddar said, “We are faced with one truth, that we will not rely on the international community or the United Nations, and we must continue with our existing options first and foremost, which is to support the option of resistance, and nothing but the resistance is what makes victory in the face of the takfiris, the Americans and the Zionists.”
Ghaddar concluded by saying that victory is just around the corner, and we will see the followers of America and the Arab reactionary regimes being defeated in the great battle of consciousness that will bring down Zionism and its project in the region, until the Arab will is liberated, and the whole of Palestine is liberated from the sea to the river.
