Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of resistance responded to the invitation of the Cuban Association for Friendship with Peoples (ICAP) and the Global Network for Human Defense (REDH).

The delegation of the Gathering was headed by its Secretary General, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, and with the participation of:

– Dr. Nadia Zanati, Financial Affairs Officer in the Gathering.

– Ms. Marilyn Anderson, Social Affairs Officer at the Gathering.

– Dr. Marwa Osman, Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Gathering for International Affairs.

– Dr. Amal Wahdan, member of the Gathering, Palestine Branch – West Bank

– International Triathlon Champion Dr. Dana Shubat, member of the Syrian branch of the Gathering and advisor in sports and youth affairs.

The delegation visited Havana, the capital of the Socialist Republic of Cuba, from 6/15/2022 to 29 of it, and was warmly hosted, respected, and honored.

Multiple meetings were held at the headquarters of the Cuban Association for Friendship with Peoples, and at the headquarters of the Global Network for Human Defense, with the participation and presence of leaders and leadership bodies in the two institutions in which issues and common concerns were discussed, and visits were organized for the delegation to educational, artistic, medical, technological and scientific institutions as edifices accomplished by the revolution and of which the kind and militant Cuban people are proud of and symbols of Cuba in the struggle and scientific and social progress.

Initial agreements were made for full interaction, cooperation and coordination between the Gathering and its branches and coordinators spread in more than 57 countries and members present in 72 countries, and with the coordinators and branches of the Cuban Association for Friendship with Peoples and the Global Network for Human Defense.

The three parties agreed to enhance cooperation in all fields and activities. News coverage of the visit of the delegation of the Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance to the People’s Republic of Cuba, whose visit began from 6-15 to 29-6-2033 in response to an invitation from the Cuban Friendship Association with the Peoples “ICAP”.

The delegation of the Global Gathering in Support of the Option of Resistance started its first activities in Havana on the morning of 16-6-2022 by visiting the headquarters of the Cuban Friendship Association with Peoples (ICAP), where members of the association’s administration received them, and then held a lengthy meeting in the presence and participation of the Vice-President of the Association, Victor Gaute Lopez.

With the participation of the leadership of the association, including the official for the Middle East and Africa, Andrés Luis Morejón Ballarte.

The Vice-President of the Gathering presented the names and terms of reference of the accompanying delegation of the Gathering and welcomed the delegation of the Global Gathering to support of the choice of resistance and gave a brief and elaborate presentation of the nature of the Gathering, its interests, branches, achievements, the date of its establishment and the international tasks assigned to it and what it seeks to implement the directions and plans of the leadership of the revolution and the Cuban people.. Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, head of the delegation of the Gathering, thanked ICAP and its leadership for their welcoming and hospitality. He affirmed that Cuba the revolution and its model, and Cuba the steadfast and resistant people, represents the Gathering and the peoples and their free movements and resistance as a model to follow and benefit from his experiences and conclusions. To support the choice of resistance, he presented the most prominent goals of the Gathering and how it achieved a wide global spread. It has branches and attendance in more than 73 countries and 57 branches. He referred to the struggles and conferences held by the Gathering and tens of delegations and personalities from the world participated in its work.

In the person of the Secretary-General, Dr. Ghaddar, expressed his thanks and gratitude for the warmth and attention and for the efforts of the Cuban state and people in honoring the martyrs and victims of the American aggressions.

In the afternoon, the hosts organized a visit and a tour for the delegation to one of the popular neighborhoods of Havana, which was hit by a devastating hurricane, which caused severe damage to the neighborhoods, citizens’ properties and their poor homes.

The delegation was received by a committee and its municipality official, who accompanied the delegation to the house of a woman with her children that the state had recently built for her and provided him with the needs.

Then the delegation and escorts moved to the building of the neighborhood restaurant, which feeds daily more than 150 people in need, at least two signs daily and hosts them or delivers food to their homes, and he had secured all families during the invasion of the Corona pandemic and the closure that was adopted officially.

Then the delegation concluded its visit and its reconnaissance tour by heading to the headquarters of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution, where it attended a singing and dancing performance prepared to welcome him and listened to explanations about the structure of the committees and forces for defending the revolution from the neighborhood to the street, the city and the governorate.

The delegation returned to the hotel in preparation for the third day rich and full of activities.

On the morning of the third day, ICAP organized the delegation to visit the Fidel Museum, which was created against his will, not to use his name or put his picture or erect monuments and statues to him.

The delegation listened with admiration to the presentation by the director of the museum and the tourist facilities of the reasons that prompted the concerned authorities to choose the neighborhood, the street, and the historical building to be the Fidel Museum. It includes the home for the elderly and his personal care, the multiplicity of his visits to it and the care of the elderly, and its proximity to the highway and close to the home of his brother and his wife, the fighters whom Castro loved.

The building was built in the eighteenth century for one of the rich Cubans and the owners of the banks.

He was one of those who supported the revolution of Jose Marti and his companions in the independence revolution, and he was a mediator with America, and the American president received him at the White House.

His wife became famous for her struggles as president of the League of Catholic Women in Cuba and established a hospital. The museum has two libraries for electronic and paper books, a printing press, and a 3D movie viewing room.

A revolutionary and companion of Castro and Guevara, a historian of the revolution and its events with critical objectivity. His wife preserved his inheritance, his house and his bed as it was, and is preparing a book about his memoirs.

He welcomed the delegation, after a long and fruitful meeting and dialogue, about the importance of this library in support of the Cuban revolution and its founder, Dr. Jose Marti, which contains more than 4 million books and dialogue, and stressed the desire to cooperate and thanked the delegation for the visit.

Dr. Ghaddar thanked the host for the warm and loving reception and introduced the delegation members.

He gave a brief presentation of the establishment of the Gathering and the stages it went through, and mentioned its most prominent stations and struggles.

He stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership between the Gathering because of its global character and its commitment to the choice of resistance with Cuba, the people, the revolution, institutions, the exchange of experiences and the integrative coordination in the struggle activities to support the oppressed peoples and the resistance.

He said; Cuba is our role model in what its revolution has achieved.

And with its steadfastness and historical resistance, and with the victories that make nations and peoples proud, and embody the strength of a model for the resistant and living peoples.

What Cuba has suffered as a result of the injustice, invasions and harsh siege that our Arab and Islamic peoples suffer from, especially the countries and resistance organizations, pointed out that there are 57 branches of the Gathering in more than 72 countries.

The director of the library was presented with books and publications of the Gathering, in addition to a CD on the Gathering, its activities, political and organizational documents, and the strategic document.

He also presented the members of the delegation and their specializations and responsibilities in the structure and management of the Gathering.

The director of the library welcomed the delegation and affirmed the Cuban people’s pleasure and determination to establish the best struggle relations with the peoples and the resistance and steadfastness movements in the world and affirmed that Cuba will remain on the principles and values of the revolution.

Cuba is suffering a lot these days, and we see it treating it as the death throes of the old world that was ruled by America and the West.

Dr. Ghaddar stressed that our enemy is one and we are united to confront injustice, arrogance, arrogance, American brutality, and the terrorism of the state it represents with the usurping Zionist entity.

Then the Secretary-General of the Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance, head of the delegation, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, thanked them for their hospitality, their seriousness and their humanity, which express the spirit and values of the revolution.

And he said: “We congratulate the people and leadership of Cuba for possessing the center and its medical role in the world, which is a continuation of its humanitarian mission, and we grow with Cuba and its capabilities to contain the Covid-19, despite the unjust siege conditions, and also to help 42 countries, while major countries were unable, unable, and seeking refuge in the great Cuba. Indeed, it is a great work.”

In this way, Cuba presents itself and its role as a contradiction and alternative to the nature of imperialism and aggressive states that plague peoples with crises, wars and viruses, while Cuba works and provides medicine and treatment of people, and all this is from the greatness of the thought of Jose Marti, Castro and his companions in the revolution.

As the director of the center said: “Cuba began its humanitarian and medical missions to support the peoples since 61 in the first Cuban medical mission to Chile following a devastating earthquake. Cuba had only 6000 doctors before the revolution with 3000 of them abroad.

1- Cuba is an island that depends mainly on imports and the United States, and that is why America sought to starve Cuba to punish it and prevent its universally beloved model from generalizing and dominating, especially since Castro-Che’s personality is popular with the peoples.

2- The US foreign policy towards Cuba is based on pressure on all countries to sever relations with Cuba and to ban relations with it.

3- Imposing internal compliance and assisting anyone who stands against the revolution and opposes its authority, and trying to create chaos in it.

4- Attempts to invade, military or peaceful elements and tactics change from one stage to another according to changes and circumstances. These days the tactical effort is focused on siege and internal compliance.

Cuba has developed its capabilities and its relations with countries and peoples, especially in Latin America and Africa.

After the death of Fidel, America assumed that Cuba had become more ready to fall into its hands, and was trying to bet on the new generations and sought to create a spring like the Arab in Cuba to booby it and take it to chaos.

The Secretary-General, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, gave a definition and presentation on the Global Gathering to Support the Choice of Resistance and its activities, and introduced the members of the delegation, their qualities, and their specializations.

Then the host introduced herself and her tasks and gave a presentation about the association, the date of its establishment, its objectives and activities in Latin America, Europe and Asia, and the nature of those dealing with it from the elites, movements and associations. The Cuban revolution established relations with the Palestinians and a Cuban tank battalion participated in the defense of Syria and the liberation of the Golan.

We support the Palestinian people in confronting the Zionist entity, and Cuba has not and will not recognize Israel, and we strengthen and support Venezuela’s relationship with Iran to confront the sanctions against them.

We have normal and militant relations between Cuba and the Arab and Islamic world, and I find that the goals of the Gathering are identical with the goals of the network that I represent.

We as peoples have a common enemy imperialism, Zionism and fascism as well.

We must unite to maximize our performance and achieve our goals.”

He thanked the group for the visit and interest.

The Secretary General of the Gathering, Dr. Ghaddar, presented the Gathering documents and the CD for the hosts, explaining the goals, motives and obligations of the global Gathering to support the resistance option and its history since it was an idea and then its founding in 2005 and its transformation from a Lebanese 55 activists, experts, media, professionals and professors participated in its founding and established a series of activities and attracted many actors and leaders, which enabled him to develop its structure and its extensions outside Lebanon to be 2011 The Arab and Islamic Gathering and its founding was launched on the anniversary of the July Revolution in Cairo and then turned into the global Gathering in July 2021, and it has accomplished many contacts and established the bonds of cooperation and Arab, Islamic and international activities.

The gathering’s activities were aimed at confronting the American and Atlantic imperialist arrogance and defending the choice of resistance and its states. And its factions, especially Syria, which was subjected to a global conspiracy and a global war that necessitated us to support it with all capabilities and capabilities, including hosting dozens of delegations to participate in the Gathering conferences that were held in Damascus under the auspices of President al-Assad to confirm the determination to support and protect Syria in 2013.

Thus, the Gathering rose and developed, met the needs, and expanded its relationship with the organizers Under his banner, what made his transformation to the world a necessity and an expression of what he achieved and reached and proved his presence and himself as an active and vital initiative force in defending and advocating peoples and resistance in the face of injustice and American aggression.

The Gathering’s transformations, management, and approval of its documents were by the unanimous consent of the affiliates, and after discussions, dialogues and amendments to the texts.

Dr. Ghaddar thanked the director and general coordinator of the network for the information they provided and a good presentation about the network, its data and goals.

And he said: “We came to Cuba and traveled great distances because we love Cuba and support it and support it and in order to cooperate with it and with you to support it and the peoples.

We hope to combine our forces with all the forces of free peoples hostile to imperialism and Zionism, to achieve our goals and liberate humanity from the domination of savage liberalism and the aggressiveness of the West led by America.

The Secretary-General of the Gathering stressed the Gathering’s desire to sign an interaction and partnership contract between the Gathering and the network. As direct practical steps, it is possible to participate in the preparation of a global conference under the title of a world free of nuclear weapons, and a conference to prosecute countries and those responsible for the blockade and sanctions.

The delegation of the Global Gathering headed by the Secretary-General, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, paid a working and farewell visit to the Cuban Association for Cooperation with the Peoples at its headquarters in Havana;

The delegation was received by the former Cuban ambassador to Beirut, Alexandre Peysir Moraga (Alexander Piessir Moraga).

The meeting took place at his request in his capacity as the Middle East and North Africa official in the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

The ambassador spoke, presenting his experience, expertise, and knowledge of Lebanon and its people, stressing that the aggressive America increases its barbarism and targets everyone and will not change, which exposes Cuba to crises and the loss of many basic needs, such as medicine and food. He stressed that the goal of the blockade is to punish Cuba and try to bring it down.

He said: “Here in Cuba, I tell you that the majority of our people support the revolution and the state and rally around it, and all attempts to destabilize Cuba and provoke movements of isolated groups of outlaws and consensus will fail. Our revolution and our state believe in its people and represent them in the best way. That is why we are confident that America’s plots and schemes will be defeated, and we hope that you will convey our greetings and a picture of our unity and Cuba’s capabilities to your peoples.”

Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, Secretary General of the Global Gathering thanked the representative of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his gesture and his request to meet with the delegation of the Gathering. The universality of the rally was imposed by circumstances and the universality of American aggression, which requires global action to confront.

America targets Cuba and targets the Arabs in the heart of the world and planted the Zionist entity in Palestine. America and its allies are attacking Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Libya, and everyone who rejects its dictates and imposes a severe siege on Iran, just as on Cuba and us. He confirmed the existence of 57 branches of the Gathering, and it is present in 73 countries in the world, all of them believe in the goals of the Gathering and participated in the format of its documents and vision.

“We say to you, the revolution, the people and the state, we are here to unite effort, work and capabilities to confront together arrogance and brutality.

All the organizations and countries of the resistance axis are partners in the Gathering, and with us their leaders in the structure and organization of the Gathering in Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Algeria, Palestine, and the Gathering conferences were in Lebanon, Cairo, and Syria under the auspices of President Assad and in Tehran, and all of them support and support the Gathering and we work in partnership with everyone to confront imperialism, Zionism and reaction in all its manifestations.

We are interested in Cuba being an integral part of the Gathering, and we are interested in Havana being a major center in Latin America and the Caribbean, thus bringing together the forces against America, its alliance and its aggression.

The Gathering has representatives and coordinators in 22 Arab countries and in a number of Islamic countries, and the Gathering was a partner in preparing for the conference and activities of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Commander Qassem Soleimani in Iran. The Gathering participated with the presence of all members of the executive body.”

Secretary-General Dr. Ghaddar reviewed prominent Arab and foreign names, leaders of movements in Asia, Europe and the rest of the world, members, coordinators and assistant general secretaries. The Gathering has a second main office in Cairo and is present in Africa and its powerful branches, all of which are in the service of the Cuban revolution and in the defense of Cuba and the free people of the world.

On June 29, the last day of the working visit of the delegation of the Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance, headed by Secretary-General Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, to the People’s Republic of Cuba, at the invitation of the Cuban Association for People’s Solidarity (ICAP), a meeting was held with the Vice-President of the Association, with the participation of its officials, in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, at the official headquarters in The capital, Havana, was deliberating and discussing a draft document of the interaction and integration contract between the association and the Gathering.

The Cuban delegation expressed and stressed that many of the points and items presented in the draft are the subject of mutual agreement and commitment. He stressed that the draft contract will be discussed with great interest and focus in the bodies and leaders of the association to develop proposals, approve them and jointly sign them on a second visit to Havana or through interaction and electronic and social communication, and the two sides agreed to proceed Cooperation and interaction in various fields and occasions to enhance cohesion and maximize the global popular movement in confronting American and Western aggression.

The leaders of the seven countries, representatives of the oppressive and savage imperialist colonial forces, are meeting to approve the plans to exterminate mankind, while we are meeting here and cooperating to protect mankind and humanity.

The head of the delegation of the Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance, Secretary-General, Dr. Ghaddar and the members of the delegation affirmed the appreciation of the efforts, seriousness and morality of the association and its leadership, and pledged to God and the resistance to work with all seriousness and activity and activate the branches and coordinators of the Gathering in 57 countries and its members spread in more than 73 countries, and to fulfill the obligations of the Gathering that it took upon itself, namely the same are the subjects of the agreement contract with the Cuban Peoples’ Friendship Association and that the terms of the contract to be signed are at the core of the Gathering’s program, tasks and documents, and the two parties agreed to continue, deepen and expand the dialogue between them and invite others to participate.

The Vice President of the Cuban Friendship Association with Peoples (ICAP) Victor Lopez said: “We highly appreciate your visit and its exceptional importance in circumstances where your country is suffering from acute crises and subject to blockades and threats, as well as Cuba, and we are in the process of responding to America’s aggressive strategies for creative chaos. We have to strengthen the relationship between the resistance countries and the peoples, and develop the system and principles in which we believe and defend them. Our definition of the revolution is the resistance industry, the constant evaluation and correction of our actions and the path towards new creative ways.

In conclusion, the Gathering delegation warmly bid farewell to the association’s headquarters and also received and renewed the delegation’s thanks to the association’s leadership and members for the interest, seriousness, hospitality and revolutionary ethics in dealing and cooperation.
