Statement condemning the Sayeda Zainab bombings in Damascus.

Dr. Yehya Ghaddar, Secretary General of the Global Gathering in Support of the choice of Resistance,

condemned in the strongest terms and denounced the heinous crime committed by criminal gangs of savagery by targeting innocent and defenseless citizens with criminal explosive devices near the shrine of Sayeda Zainab, peace be upon her, in Damascus.

Dr. Ghaddar believes that targeting the shrine in the time of Ashura was intentional and a cowardly act of sabotage behind which American and Israeli intelligence agencies were standing behind which aimed at undermining the shrine and killing innocent people, and suggesting the chaos of security in Syria and the decline in the presence of the state.

This act represents a cowardly attempt at sabotage and a frantic endeavor to divert attention from attempts to starve the Syrian people through siege warfare and unjust and inhumane sanctions. It represents miserable attempts to re-attempt to awaken sedition, may Allah curse those who seek to awaken it.

Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, on behalf of the branches of the Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance, which is spread in more than 70 countries, called for serious and continuous international action to uncover malicious plots, to condemn and besiege the forces of sedition and dark terrorism, and to expose the states and the apparatus that drives it.

Dr. Ghaddar also called on free peoples and sovereign governments to work intensively to bring down the siege war on Syria and break the war of aggressive sanctions aimed at starving the Syrians and depriving them of the most basic needs of life and the most basic human rights.

Mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the wounded, and Syria will remain a beacon of civilization and resistance to all forms of terrorism, global state terrorism and brutal gang terrorism.
