Dr. Yahya Ghaddar’s Speech in Damascus Meeting

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

A thousand thanks to the Syrian Arab Republic, its people, its army, and its leadership for everything it has contributed and offered to Palestine, and may the banner of resistance always remain raised.

Thanks to our comrades in the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party and to the Syrian branch of the gathering for hosting this meeting.

Great thanks to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus for his efforts to ensure the success of the meeting, and our gratitude to all the ambassadors and their representatives for accepting the invitation and participating.

Thanks and appreciation to the representatives of the Palestinian factions, political and social entities, and media activities, and to all our beloved participants.

It is not new for Damascus and Syria to do all they can to support justice, Arabism, Islam, and to support oppressed nations and peoples suffering under unjust blockades and punitive wars. The criminal war that aims to starve and punish people for their refusal of humiliation, contempt, and the Western Anglo-Saxon domination and its colonial world, which is heading towards collapse and departure.

Brothers and sisters,

Our meeting aims to support and stand with Gaza and the Palestinian people who are facing the most dangerous conspiracy in human history by the forces of tyranny, colonization, and the plundering of nations and peoples. The imperialist and tyrannical countries are conspiring to eliminate them and empower the temporary and soon-to-be-gone Zionist entity, God willing.

The Global Gathering in Support of the Choice of Resistance has called on its branches in 74 countries to work with political and popular forces to pressure the expulsion of ambassadors of the Zionist entity, close embassies, and engage in all activities to explain the Palestinian issue and define the savage aggression by the temporary entity to destroy Gaza and displace its inhabitants.

The siege, attempts to displace the people of Gaza, and the destruction of its infrastructure, hospitals, water and energy facilities, childhood, and families, with the use of scorched earth policies, supported and adopted by the United States and Western countries, have exposed their true nature as the supporters, financiers, and fighters alongside this settler entity. They are responsible for the tragedies of the Palestinian people and the peoples and nations of the region and the world.

The Anglo-Saxon America, which has been built on wars, the extermination of peoples, the oppression of nations, and the looting of their resources, seeks to secure the Zionist entity that is in its likeness and of its nature.

What Gaza has achieved by crossing into the lands of 1948 and the success of the Qassam Brigades is legendary and miraculous. It is conclusive evidence of the beginning of the collapse of this failed, disintegrated, and impotent entity. It is conclusive evidence that resisting peoples and those under blockades, sanctions, and destruction can rise and defeat the aggressive and colonial countries.

Our solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian people in this fateful war is also solidarity and integration with Russia in its defensive war in Ukraine, and it is integration with the People’s Republic of China in the face of the blockade and economic and financial warfare it is facing. It is connected to the battle of Cuba, the revolution to break the blockade, and the battle of Venezuela and the Bolivarian revolution. It is vital to the struggle of Brazil to free itself from American hegemony, and it is support for the rising and rebellious Africa against European imperialist colonization.

Ambassadors and representatives, participants,

To you, a thousand greetings and thanks. We hope that this meeting produces actionable recommendations. Your participation is precious and invaluable, and it must result in joint action.

In this context, on behalf of the Global Gathering in Suppprt of the Choice of Resistance, I suggest that we work together to establish a club for diplomats from countries and peoples subjected to aggression, blockade, sanctions, and wars. The unity of the enemy imposes a unified struggle for oppressed, resistant, and rebellious peoples and nations.

Moreover, we must work to reactivate the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3379 of 1975, which declared Zionism a form of racism.

We extend our utmost respect and admiration to Gaza, its people, its valiant fighters, and to the West Bank and its steadfast and patient inhabitants. To our patient brethren in the 1948 territories, we say, be patient, for the meeting is near, and the liberation of all of Palestine is approaching.
