The meeting was attended by political, party and union leaders, in addition to the participation of some of the Gathering’s coordinators via Zoom from the five continents, where solidarity events and activities are being held condemning the Zionist crimes against our people in Gaza.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss the continuation of the Al-Aqsa flood and the latest developments in Palestine and the axis of resistance, and to come up with proposals to develop the steps adopted by the Gathering and its branches in support and defense of the resistance in Gaza and all other fronts.
The meeting began with the anthem of the hosting country, Lebanon, in addition to the ever-present Palestinian anthem, and the Gathering’s anthem.
Then the speech of the Secretary-General of the Gathering, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar, began by reciting Al-Fatihah blessing the souls of the martyrs.

Thanks to God, the Al-Qassam Brigades and Gaza, the legend of resistance throughout time and history, were able to place the temporary entity in the beginning of its collapse, while Palestine was placed in the beginning of its liberation.
For more than forty days, the soon-vanishing entity, along with USA, NATO, and the Anglo-Saxon world, gave everything they have, as they all fell and were helpless under the feet of the Gaza mujahideen and the axis of resistance. That colonial world revealed its values, its truth, and its lies as a racist, unjust regime that did not adhere to international contracts and conventions, nor to the regulations and laws that it formulated and circulated. As for the resistance, it showed incredible and miraculous steadfastness and fighting, and this will be the headlines and slogans of humanity’s future.

We praise the initiative of French lawyer Gill Devers, which brought together more than 300 lawyers from all over the world. The aim is to reach 3,000 lawyers and jurists who would volunteer to support Gaza and to prosecute the Israeli entity on charges of committing genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people. Therefore, we, in the Gathering, also adopt this call and hope that all the lawyers and jurists present in the gathering and their friends to communicate with the head of the International Law Commission in the Gathering, Dr. Hassan Jouni, in order to participate in the initiative of French lawyer Gill Devers. Of course, this is done in coordination with the General Coordinator of the Gathering in France, General Alain Corvez who is with us on Zoom.
On the other hand, we hope that all general coordinators in the world and in their various countries will organize and participate in peaceful protests and demonstrations, especially tomorrow, Saturday, and invite relatives and friends to participate effectively as well. Raising our voices in these protests puts more pressure on everyone, regimes, governments, and misguided people, and it is the least duty we can perform in these sensitive times.

Then the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Adnan Mansour, spoke about how western countries are distorting facts, which contradicts the general world order and the charters of the United Nations. Then the speech, Haj Hassan Hoballah, head for the Palestinian Relations in Hezbollah, who stressed that resistance for the Palestinians is like the spirit to the body. Then the speech of the Hamas resistance movement, delivered by Hamas’ representative in Lebanon, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hadi who explained the causes and motives of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. “When efforts were made to destroy the rights of the Palestinians through killing, committing massacres, arbitrary arrests, and oppressing our people to an extreme level that made it unbearable, while the world watched the suffering of the Palestinian people, the Al-Aqsa flood was born, which was truly a flood that no one expected. Then Mr. Fathi Abu Al-Ardat, coordinator of the Fatah movement and the PLO factions, presented the vision of the Palestinian Authority and what it is doing in order to stop the aggression on Gaza, and its communications at the global level, which begins to move in support of the Palestinian cause.
Professor Abu Al-Ardat stressed the call to strengthen Palestinian unity, appreciating the movements of the Arab and Islamic peoples in solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanding an immediate end to the aggression, lifting the siege, and stopping the massacres. After Mr. Abu Al-Ardat’s speech, the Vice-President of the Palestinian National Council and the official of the Democratic Front in Lebanon, Mr. Ali Faisal, spoke. He stressed, “We are entering a new chapter after the Al-Aqsa flood along with the Zionists. The Palestinian people and their resistance are defending their land and their future, and this is a duty as long as the occupation and settlement persist over the Palestinian land. Whoever wants security and stability in the region, the shortest way to that is to stop the aggression first and work seriously to remove the occupiers from the Palestinian land and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their national rights away from the occupation.
Faisal continued, “anything that reduces the national rights of our people is suspicious and aim to impose mandates on the Gaza Strip or an indirect occupation of the Gaza Strip.” But despite everything that is happening, the political future belongs to our people in Gaza, the West Bank and Quds. Then the speech of Mr. Hamza Bashtawi, member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front – General Command, who affirmed that “Gaza has not and will not surrender. This flood is a continuation of previous measures as America will never kill hope and Gaza will win the war.”

Mr. Abdullah Danan, deputy official of the Popular Front in Lebanon, spoke at the meeting and said that resistance is a thought, a spirit, an approach, and a choice, and resistance is the destiny of the people living under occupation.

Professor Danan concluded that, despite the of 41 days of aggression, tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded people and the complete destruction of life in Gaza, the enemy stands unable to achieve any military achievement, and the resistance is still directing painful attacks against it in various areas of the fighting.

Mr. Rafiq Haj, a member of the Anti-Normalization Committee of the Beirut syndicate Association, participated in the meeting, and stated, “Resistance is a way of life and there are thousands of martyrs and unspeakable destruction. However, despite all the aggressive and brutal actions of the Zionists, they are unable to make any progress or defeat the resistance.
The professor concluded his speech: We are all united and you (Palestinians) must be supported. The syndicate Association takes the initiative to support the Palestinian cause, and this is our duty. The reason for normalization is failure to do what is necessary to prevent it.

Statement of Dr. Mulay Mohammad Al-Tayyeb, coordinator of the Gathering in Algeria
We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people against the Zionist heinous crimes that are being committed against children and women. Now, a committee of lawyers has been formed in Algeria at the level of the highest authorities to file a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice against the crimes of the Zionist entity. Here aid is ready to be sent, and everything we do in Algeria is nothing compared to the blood shed taking place in Gaza. The Palestinian brothers are steadfast and will leave neither to Sinai nor anywhere else. We are committed to our land and our rights, and all we ask for is the opening of the Rafah crossing. There is a group of young members of the second biggest party in Italy that are confronting their leaders, who are Israeli supporters, trying to push them towards a different stance on international politics.
These reactions are partly due to the impunity that is being granted to the Zionist entity, so open and evident.
I think our leaders are embarrassed by the open violations of the international law by Israel, and their reaction is to give less and less space to the news from Palestine. Media are talking less and less about the Israeli aggression, and they are slowly making it less visible. They are trying to steer people’s attention towards different issues. This is, I guess, their plan to take away support.
So, we have to be steadfast and keep on talking about it.
But the distance between the population and our leaders is growing day by day. Hopefully, this will produce a change in the Western world. Hopefully, the U.S. and Israel will be more and more isolated, as the latest votes at the UN have shown.
