London: Commemorating “International Quds Day” with huge demonstrations and marches roaming the streets of London

On Friday, April 5, 2024, the British capital – London – witnessed massive demonstrations and marches on the 45th anniversary of the commemoration of “International Quds Day,” in support of the Palestinian cause and solidarity with the steadfast Palestinian people, especially the people of Gaza, in the face of the massacres and war of extermination committed by the Zionist army since More than 183 days.
Many scholars, representatives of Islamic centers, Arab associations, human rights and humanitarian organizations, fasting Muslim activists, civil society activists, and movements defending human rights and opposing wars participated in these marches. In addition to large crowds of members of the Arab and Islamic communities, as well as a large number of liberals, Blair activists, and representatives of Jewish associations and the Jewish sect, followers of the “Neturei Karta” movement who oppose international Zionism and the existence of the State of “Israel.”
The participating popular crowds gathered in front of the British Home Office in central London, then went to the Prime Minister’s Office on Downing Street, in the Westminster area, chanting and saying “Free Palestine,” raising Palestinian flags and banners written in English and Arabic with expressions of support and solidarity. With the issue of the Palestinian people, and with the images of children and women in Gaza, victims of the Zionist aggression… denouncing the crimes of the Zionist entity, and demanding an immediate end to the genocide and a ceasefire in Gaza.
Participants in the marches also raised banners and slogans expressing opinions of support and solidarity for the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea, and positions of denunciation and condemnation of the massacres and crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza. They also raised the banners and flags of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen to express thanks and appreciation to these countries. They were supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in their land and building their state.
Large platforms were set up in front of the home of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, where activists and preachers took turns delivering speeches denouncing the racist and criminal policies of the Zionist entity and the Western organizations supporting it.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Zein, coordinator of the GGSCR in London, participated in commemorating “International Quds Day,” by actively attending and distributing to the demonstrators hundreds of pictures and printed leaflets that express and reflect the medical and humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, under the guidance and instructions of the Secretary-General of the GGSCR, Dr. Yahya Ghaddar.
